just to state i'm play ps2 religiously ask whitbread and he will confirm this from research i have myself done the ps2 kicks xbox into touch because.... the xbox lags(only console that does this) the xbox is more prone to freezing during gameplay andit dosn't have a wide selection of multiplayer games halo is one of the only ones all of these the ps2 can boast it doesn't lags doesn't freeze often and has loads of multiplayer games to play. Also I will be buying a ps3 instead of a Xbox 360 because sony and microsoft are in discussions about releasing halo 3 on the ps3 aswel also from watchin both showcases ps3 seems the better console.

i wouldnt know about PlayStation Online or XBox Live

but from personal experience of both consoles not playing online i would say the PS2 and its allready been said that the XBox is prone to freezing my playstation has never frozen well except for that one time when i knocked it off my desk but that was my fault not the playstation

The only times my Xbox freezes is when I've been playing it for over 5 hours constant, but that's me. And while you could say the Xbox is more prone, that doesn't mean it freezes every ten minutes.

(by the way, if you haven't got PSO then wait for the PS3. PSO is kind of like what the Gamecube was)

I have to admit Xbox live does beat ps2's ethernet system but you got to think that this was one of sony's first attempts at a system that has online capablities microsoft have been doing it since the internet was availiable the online experience for both both consoles was just down to the experuence of the designers lol in this endeavour microsoft had the upper hand

It's just that Xbox Live is now one of the only things I play on the Xbox, which involves 2 lonely games, Fifa 2005 and Halo 2. I spent around 3 hours last night on it.
