How about the commander make all ships attack as a unit? Then they'd have the ability to attack and do a ton of damage before counterattack can hit. Enough can kill a trained transport without a loss.

If we end up doing the upgraded fighter like I reccomended then it would be a steady loss of 2 fer 1 so that wouldn't be so bad, the humans would still have the advantage over the comp and the battle comp would only be attacking with 1 fighter at a time so it will be more even.

No attacking in mass. It should attack one at a time, so there is some possibility of killing it.

Otherwise, it becomes an invincible superfighter.

i like wat prof said but i like wat iri said how bout make it attack in mass but make it where there is some chance that ships will be lost

example
a fully trained trans come close to ur planet u have 50 untrained fighters 30 would die in the attack of the trans something like that

The commander will command 1 ship at a time. You can have more than 1 commander, but it would need alot to take out 1 trained transport. Even then it will take out a couple of fighters. We don't want to make the commanders invincible. Just another layer to stragedy.

Agreed. Commander can control more than one ship, for sure, but only one at a time will attack, like in a martial arts movie (the bad guys never attack in mass, or the hero would die).
