The playing field is pretty open.
With Cajin semi- retired (on a spiritual journey) three times now there is no one actually (game wise) in charge.
Making sure the game stays up falls to Irii.
Most of the "old players" are not around any more.
The universe is pretty open and if you are of the mindset to take over being the player every one love to hate the position is open.
If you just want to build an empire and make points off of the HW's of inactive players that is possible too.
