I have noticed that there is approximately a 1 minute delay in whats happening and when it post to the news.
I haven't watch it close enough to see if it does it all the time but I do know it is quiet a bit.

Ya, news updates about every minute is all, not real time

Yea, It use to update in real time. It would be nice if it still did. It helps when it come to pirate attempts and such.

Not sure if it would be a easy fix or not. We can obviously live the way it is now, but it would be nice to get it back to real time.

Think it's always been that way, for a little while there was the IRC news or something (where we had the skylords chat room too) that was real time

There has always been a slight delay. I just timed it at about forty seconds for global news. It is almost dead on for personal news. Not sure about clan news.
It would seem logical that priority should be given in that order.

There was never a delay in global news unless it was just a few seconds (maybe 1-3). I use to pirate people when they attacked alien planets. Now someone can attack an alien system and be gone before it ever post to the news.....

All the news used to be spot on because we used it to pirate during HW attacks. The global clock is off by a minute or so which could have something to do with it. I remember this happening before and Iir adjusted it back.

The news has always been on a 60 second cache - it's spot on when you check if nobody has checked within at least 60 seconds. When we had an IRC channel, that was instant. I could probably build a discord (or other chat service) bot to do the same thing someday.
