I notice a lot of players are entering newbie arena lately but I don't see anything from them after that.. why?

It could be the game does not meet their expectations, the difficulty of the tutorial missions, or a returning player collecting enough targets to get materials and points fast.
Not sure which ones are true because one does not exclude the other.

Nim made a succesful recruitment topic on reddit but it seems like the game is failing to appeal to the new players. We've had a HUGE spike in new players but now the universe is littered with new player systems and their SPC's. Can't say I'm complaining it's a nice supply of greens. Check out how many total planets we've jumped to as well.

Yeah there have been an endless supply of new player systems. I took out about 17 of them in a day when I was out hunting Aliens.
