I have often said that us players can clear out the HW's that are just blocking the game!
There is little need for interclan warfare when there are so many ripe targets out there.

Yeah but if you have one certain clan such as LT who will keep taking Hws of yours, it makes it harder to clear those HW;s :/

In many ways I think that a reset really wouldn't solve much:
1. Yes it would get us all on a level playing field again
2. It would bring back a handfull of old players that have wanted a reset
3. BUT I'm conserned that it would be a boom and bust period where after a while everyone goes back to their old playing strategies that have worked well for so long and a year or two later we're talking about another reset.

And at the risk of making more work for Iiri, I'll just ask about the idea of having SL2 turned into a round long game that resets every month. Could it be done?

I also think that Tom has a great point if we take out all the old HWs that act like sheilds between systems, I think that coul really spice some things up in a couple months or so.:shrug:

I think a moderate reset would be beneficial.. im more traditional.. I would hate to have to start ALL over again but i miss the times where assaults were met with fighters and piracy.. gave me a rush i think maybe things are too stagnate, too spread out.. turrets kinda stopped HW taking for me.. i think they are TOO much maybe a few ya as a warning system, cause thats really all they are.. just give you time to intercept your attacker.. i remember when i had a program that which made an alarm go off if my hw was underattack lol

Well, prof killed it by making HWs the only way to go. I did it. It only makes sense from a long term standpoint.
Perhaps a monthly resetting one would be fun. Could it be run on the same server? I would actually quite enjoy playing every couple months!

They need to put restriction that everyone would be able to have only one homeworld and that would solve the problem i think :)

No way way to long to harvest especially if I can't let them build up. We need to make more insentive to attacking and clearing out the old HWs
