there are several types of evolution and evolution itself is rather slow, today you can do things that 400 years ago were considered impossible, this is evolution as the species itself become smarter and more capable.

Jesus is truly your only reason for living? If that's true, your not even a very good Christian. Do you truly think that your god would give you life for no reason? Just so you could be with him/her/it?

Honestly, the whole Bible thing causes way too much death and destruction for it to have any credibility.

Personally I would find it hard to put all my faith into something that conflicts with my logic mind. I would even say it looks like an easy way "out" to me. I'm perfectly fine with the idea that we evolved randomly and there's no afterlife. Well no, actually, I would very much like to have an immortal soul and "life" after death, but this part especially looks like created by weak humans to fight off fear and justify their existence. After all the idea that most of our lives don't have a "higher purpose" and there's nothing after death (we just disappear) is very frightening. However I don't approve of deluding yourself with hopes that are most likely false.
