Why are all deals set to the price announced on the deal?

I mean if I wanna sell vital, I have no competition to help raise prices! Everything is at 10 credits. Same with some other resources..
Is that mean that no one is bidding those resources OR someone is selling portions of a large amount of resources...

I have noticed several members of the LTC alliance making very large trades of non-defense resources to get more T recently. It is my guess that some player or players are getting ready for a large assault, and hording resources on a planet might be a risky strategy unless it is defensive resources you are hording. I have bought and traded for some vital, but I don't want to buy more even though the price is good as to have more non-defense on my planets might make me an excessively tempting target for an agressive alliance seeking points and profit.
