They couldn't find Osama, so instead I assume they focused on a more realistic form of hate. Every government with imperialistic or fortunistic outlooks need a scape goat. Hitler had the Jews to blame depression etc... on, George Bush has Arabs and the Middle East to blame terrorism on. In both cases perhaps they are/were part of the problem, but not all of it. The IRA aren't Islamic, they're catholic or protestant, the Chechnens (sp?) in Russia aren't Islamic. It's all perception and means/gain problems for a government in my opinion.

Now Iraq, a country vastly rich in oil, has a government that is favourable to America rather than hostile. Same for Afghanistan. The Taliban no longer rule there, apparently they supported terrorists but I see little actual evidence of it. They weren't friendly to America, but now that isn't a problem because they've been removed and a new pro-USA government is in place.

Oil is the fuel of the world and America is using fear and terrorism as a means of knocking a nickel off the price of oil at the pump, one Middle Eastern country at a time.

you see this is making more and more sense everyday... the governments motive of blowing up the twin towers and the other places could have been to gain support to go into afcghanistan and get control of the oil... getting all that oil would be tons of money for them... now is it really so hard to believe?

Yes RoS, because no government is ever going to sanction the use of force against it's own citizens, let alone allow it to happen. Sure, you can blame it on an intelligence failure, but it only takes one squealing analyst to bring the whole operation down in flames.

There are millions of theories for this, the government let Pearl Harbour happen etc... etc.. (all be it in that case it's been proven that they had information an attack was imminent and fear of losing the source meant they didn't share it with CINCPAC) but all such claims are unfeasable.

It was all about IRAN, If you look on the map if we had put a friendly government into Iraq, and Afganistan we control more of their borders with either puppet states or allies. This would limit their impact on the region and put them into a worse position. Oil was a good secondary but if you look to see where all of the political pressure not neccessary military might it was in the countries surrounding Iran either through the US or the EU/NATO...
