Now wait one minute here. There are comments that Professor MADE the IDG group what it was. I do not agree in the slightest with this comment. I joined IDG as a newbie. The alliance was created by Chaos and by ABE (who has had a variety of names, and is now playing under a new name which might not be known to many players, but he is still among us). The alliance was strong before I joined it, and I did okay as a newbie, but there were many others who also did well within the IDG community. I did not MAKE the IDG family or culture.

However, I can take create for CREATING the AIDG group as a training ground for CIDG. I also had a few good newbies in that family, like Devona and Demeers and many others. I helped some players get better, and many far surpassed their teacher (or professor) in excellence in game playing abilities. I also had a lot of help from Dios, Bert2, Griffin, and others in AiDG leadership, and I was only one of several leaders of that training alliance.

I left AIDG to avoid the appearance of conflict of interest when I took over control and effective ownership of the game. There was pressure from several of the other alliance leaders to do so. It was hard to leave the AiDG / CidG family, but I did so for the good of the game. I have played since then without an alliance, and mostly in relatively passive mode, building up stable HWs and resources over time, to use occasionally in large attacks (the largest of which was against multiple members of LTC in a very large 160 million plus homeworld attack in which I received many points, but where I eventually failed to take the homeworld on my own against a successful team defense effort).

Since leaving AiDG, I have not attacked AiDG or CiDG homeworlds, but I have also been careful to avoid helping AiDG or CiDG in any attacks on other alliance homeworlds. I have, however, cooperated with some members of other alliances in several large attacks, including a large attack on Neggy, who might have been in CiDG at the time, but he was never a friend of CiDG or AiDG while I was a member of those alliances, and the attack on Neggy was more for personal satisfaction reasons than for any other reason. Neggy often was critical of me, and so I did rather enjoy taking down a few of his HWs in cooperation with others who set up, organized, and lead the attack. I was there just in a support role.
