If they became np trader hws instead of sp then maybe people would attack. Although I dont support the idea as I dont want to lose my hw :P. On a totally unrelated issue which wouldnt affect my support of the idea I beleive(probably wrong though) I maybe the first player to have negative morale in a few months, definatly the only one now.

I think the idea has some merit to be honest - but perhaps put a cap on what planets can revolt. I.E only planets with a certain amount of resources - definately not over 500k total resources.

It should work on morale, that is a stroke of genius nd would finally give a useage for morale. Players with low morale would lose planets. However, then you would have to fine tune the morale settings - inactive players are frequent finds and defeating them lowers morale. This would make it unattractive to cleanse the universe of inactive newbies because you could lose a planet to SP or NP Trader and it would mean wasting resources to recapture the planet if it were worth recapturing.

It's a good idea, one that I support to a point, but it would involve a lot of fine tuning so that it had the merits worthy of this game and then it would perhaps take a lot of coding changes.
