Rhyfelwr we are the major pollutant of the world but unfortunately for everyone it is to expensive (in the eyes of those with the power) to change our ways....... Sure we use smoke and mirrors to make it appear that we are making an effort, such as turning trash to energy and so on..... But the truth is America will run to the wire just as she is running now and then when it is to late everyone will point the finger at each other as we, along with the rest of the world, meet our demise from our combined mutual neglect of the planet in the pursuit of the almighty dollar yen rubble and Euro. My advice, enjoy your life... be happy...... and appreciate every day U get, because in my opinion we are running on borrowed time now

As for pollution, it's getting better, but barely. We'll get there eventually though.
