i just logged on and had 35 planets on my planets screen so i upgraded my planets limit and suddenly im down to 25 planets is there anyway to give me back the planets i just lost?

well, you should upgrade your planet limit in time and you'll have no problems with it - if you are waiting til the last day, you accepting the risk to loose your planets...
