I don't get my credits for voting in home page. I got them once. But now I don't, 2 weeks already. Did this voting work normaly?

The credits posting is controlled by the site that gives credits. They have some rules which make it difficult for some players to get credits for voting, and we don't control those rules.

You can see their filtering process on their web page, but essentially, they filter by using the three highest level clusters of digits of your IP address and counting all votes from that group as being one filtered group for voting.

The result of this is that some players will be able to vote more than once, as their ISP uses dynamic IP assignment and they have multiple high level IP addresses. On the other hand, some players will not be able to vote as someone on the same high level network they are using has already voted during that week.

I am not fond of the vote filtering method they use for this site, as it unfairly blocks some voting players and not others. However, be assured that every vote that they accept and which counts in their voting criteria then results in credits being issued to your account.

Also, I should point out that nothing has changed in the way voting worked from the way it worked a year ago. There were some issues then with some players getting credits more than once per week and others not getting credits at all. At that time, my solution was to disable voting as it appeared to unfairly favor some players over others.

Since that time, Iiridayn has traced down the source of the problems and has found that the voting filters used by various game sites are outside our control. We are working on some alternative code that might enable voting to work differently so all players get credits even if their vote is not counted by the game voting site, but this will take some time to make work.

This is easily a part of the code that could be done by someone other than Iiridayn, if we have anyone who would like to work on this part of the code for us to make it faster to get more game rating voting sites up as options and to make the credits for voting work better even if the actual votes on the game rating site are blocked.

Any volenteers to help with coding? If you want, I could issue some modest compensation as credits for someone willing to help rewrite this part of the skylords code to make voting work better for everyone and to be able to have more sites for players to vote for as well.

PS - I got credits for voting this week. That means that Iiridayn won't get any credits, since we use the same internet service provider. Not the same IP address, since we have different connections and different PCs, but we have the same company providing us both service, so the game rating site only issues credit for voting to one of us each week. And, I beat him this week in voting on the website first (the voting resets each week on Monday, by the way, so voting on Monday is most likely to get you the credits instead of someone else on your network).

Okay, we will get the code and specs over to MBIK to work on. Compensation will not be large, but it will be something moderately reasonable and it will be paid in credits.

Also, he will be able to help lots of Lith players have a way to get more credits without cash. And some Nigeria players as well. Oh, we only have one of those, so MBIK will be helping himself as our Nigeria representative.
