Thanks SmartFox. I appreciate your pointing out that nothing can stop me. Except, perhaps, that darn planet of LTC's which had a never ending resupply of troops on it. That stopped me because I ran out of assaults. I had a lot of them, but too many were untrained and a few were lost during the attack. Even so, 200M of defense taken out on one planet SHOULD have been enough to take down that stupid planet.

As for your spy, my comment about asking about IPs being the same was sort of an expression of surprise in an IM discussion asking if two IPs were the same, when I asked (real time) "why is SmartFox logging into your (Kotica's) website?". Kotica told me it was two IPs from log ins on his website and wondered if they were from the same player with different identities, but I clearly stated that I did not at all believe that SB and SF where the same player acting as multis. They strongly appear to be separate players, in spite of SF apparently using SB's name to log into this other server site maintained by Kotica.

Anyway, it is clear that LTC has another informer or spy in TS based on SF's comments since then, so I guess the witch hunt is not over yet, and TS has some housecleaning to do.

Makes for some interesting tension and conflict in the game, although Hope and Kotica are definitely quite annoyed about the situation overall.

to digitat - english i'm learned just 4 years (in the university), not very serious and that was 9 years ago, without allmos any practics, so i'm excusing for past posts, and for future. "not in english obviously" - sory, but that's sounds funy for me in that topic.
Prof, is there very hard to answer my questions ? I think it's intresting for all SL comunity (maybe exception is TS). 150+ ass with trops + 80 lost by bad shield + 1 or 2 transport shields + lots fighters ...

yep. lots of ships. obviously not enough, however, but as much as I could do as one player.

So, your question is how could I afford it? LOL - well, I have been saving for a long time and have a lot of people who are willing to train ships for me when needed. Also, don't even begin to think that hitting 86 ships was my entire fleet targeted at a 167 M defense planet. You got some of them, but not near all of them the prior week. Only about half the force that was coming in for the attack. Of course, it took a week to get more ready, and a lot of those were untrained, or I would have been able to do more damage and maybe get through all your reinforcements.

MrKingas - you can calculate cost yourself:

to take 200mln the one would need 135 full trained assaults, which cost 1,4mln T each plus 500k T to load them (using untrained assaults, cost is a bit bigger).
135*1.9=256.5mln T

86 ships destroyed before
86*1.4=120.4mln T if they were not loaded, and 43mln more if loaded.
Max cost of fighters - 10-15mln T so this is small part only.

So total cost of professor attacks this month should be around 400mln T

one 12x planet gathers 17280 T per day, so having 50 planets for 1 year you can get:
17280*365*50=315.36mln T

he bought a lot of credits. $1500 means 150k credits - calcualting 60 credits for 100k T, you can get 250mln T

So we have 565mln plus some profit form specualtions of silicon, gold and other res prices - so it can go up to 700-800mln T (here I'm trying to predict max professor earnings - probably he was not able to get so much as he also lost some res during last year).

And finally At the beginning of january he was getting 1% per day. So until 10th of february he got 40%
40% of 800mln T is 320mln T

So at least half of the attack cost were last 40 days earinings from interest...

Professor hopefully youve learnt that having conversations while looking at info that know one else should know, youre bound to slip something... though I doubt you respect LTC enough to take such pains as to watch what youre saying when having a convo about them seeing as how you know more about them than you should........ Im saying maybe you should..... in my book theyve erned at least that much..... and I hate LTC ask anyone abou tmy rant sabout LTC as GS..... bu thte seccond you start respecting your enemy for what he is..... is the seccond you can truly battle him on hi slevel and beat him at his game.......

Yeah, I must admit that the interest income has been nice, but I think my totals are less than Filas has stated. I lost a few HWs along the way, and attacked with a few large attacks last summer (MBIK HW taken down). Nothing close to this round, but still, I don't have 800M T for sure. Lets see, I think I have less than 300M T & E total left after using up about 400M worth of resources in the past two weeks in successful and failed attacks. And, I have a lot of planets with known coordinates to defend, so I am spread more thin than I would like, but still okay.

And, as Filas has often pointed out, I could afford to attack a large HW, and I did so. Finally. Actually, it is rather nice in a way that LTC kept adding troops to the planet until I had used up all my assaults, as I was able to get full points from all my assaults for attacking their planet and I did not have to go through two sets of urret defenses to get points for two LTC HWs worth of attacking!

Really? I guess no one told the Mongoleans that when they were invading Eastern Europe a few hundred years ago, and no one bothered to tell the Huns that when they were on the edge of the Roman empire, and Alexander from the "East" seemed to have a "Great" time invading much of the known world in his day.

The USA is a great nation in many ways, but it is also a very proud country. If Americans do not recognize both our weaknesses and our strengthens, we could easily fall as have many nations that have been great for a time. Yes, America has much to be proud of, but many faults and problems as well, including a high degree of ignorance and blindness to many important global and multinational issues.

And, in this game, it is clear that most of the oldest and strongest vets in the game are Lith, including some who are clearly not allied with LTC (Filas and Chaos being among the best known Lith players who have been with the game a long time that are not in LTC).

Filas math beats my memory. I have closer to 400M of T&E left after the attacks of the past two weeks. More than I thought. Still, I would not mind having a bit more defense on some planets.

For example, Lady's Tea Club now has only high energy little old ladies guarding the planet area, as all troops have gone off to guard other locations. A few turrets and a bit of energy is all that is left there to guard that planet. Hardly enough to hold off a determined attacker!

But, not too worry, since SmartFox has said that LTC won't bother seriously attacking me. That is welcome news indeed, as it gives me time to trade for more ships to use for my next attack when I find an interesting target.
