Well, so much for Filas arguement that HWs are too safe, and that no one would capture any HWs this round.

From personal experience, I can say that I have twice UNDERESTIMATED the power of turrets and have been inadequately prepared for attacks. Looks like TS was very well prepared this time, which was definitely an impressive attack indeed.

I think that interest awarded is still a reasonable incentive for keeping a HW, but diplomacy does matter as well. If you have a clan annoyed with you, they might spend the resources to attack.

The balance now is closer to the way it was a year ago. HW attacks are not impossible, as TS has shown, but they are definitely more expensive in terms of opportunity cost or loss.

simple maths
cost of all res on that HW was about 60mln T, cost of capturing was about 155-160mln T. Cost of res captured was about 35mln T, so in sum I lost 60mln T and attackers lost 120mln T. Means even capturing a rich HW, you are loosing twice more than defender.
Also as we have interest now, loss of 120mln T is not only 120mln T, but also loss of possible income. Means it's loss of 35mln T monthly... Speaking in terms of war - you won a battle, but made a big step in loosing a war.

I'm still with my arguement - this HW was captured mostly using ships trained in previous rounds, so it was not so much influenced by this round changes.

you have a point, however you must think YOU lost 60M T and several TS members lost 120M T, not exactly the same thing

well, I'm not telling that I can win against a big clan alone If you look to the main clans, there are 4 who were fighting for top places last months - LTC, TS, SC and iDG. So if you look into this battle form sight of whole SL, you'll see that TS lost 120mln T, SC lost 60mln T and LTC and iDG lost nothing. So last 2 clans won the most form this Of course TS got a lot of points this round, but, I think, there were not many doubts that they'll win this round anyway.

well, then you must think TS "LOST" troops but got points, SC lost troops.
Also SC by losing so many troops gives advantrage to Ts as it reduces SC chances of wining the round

Filas is, of course, correct. it always costs more to attack and loot never makes up for the expenditure. but this is the only way to win rounds. what were they supposed to do? round up that huge fleet next to your HW and PM you with "bang, you;re dead!" ?
