If I may give points for the most extensive RPG than the 10 points goes to runescape. I can't imagine what that would be to program al those things...hell of a job!
btw... 9 points goes to SL And if I notice that my plannet is suddendly gone by a just passed hungry black hole, than I would be obliged to give the 10 points to SL

RS has over 2.8 million members, getting close to 400,000 subscribing members. It's the biggest java-MMORPG on the web, and is right in there with WoW; and remember RS doesn't even really need a download, it's based on over 70 servers spread throught the US, the UK and Amsterdam. Go onto jagex.com, corparate site, company history. That will tell you all you need.

I played 2 beta weekends, it was awsome Best part is teamplay. Scenario is linear with some small side quests. YOu can't do whatever you want, that is - just follow main story. And there's lots of action... How come lienar quests and monster killing is so fun then? Well, first "missions" are very interesting, you walk through area and usually at the end there's one "boss" mob (some smaller ones before him). There are 5 professions and lots of skills which you can combine to achieve wanted results. They complement each other so strategy and teamwork is very important. That's where the best part is, like I said It's just so fun to beat a difficult mission with your team and share the best moments And missions aren't only to get rid of all enemies, you got to sneak sometimes, to steal somethign without alerting anyone, to escort, or to convert enemy temples while they try to convert yours ("Henge portal" mission hehe).
Oh yeah and before mission you gather in a special area to choose your team of other players or NPC henchmen. So this game isn't for those who like to play alone. The name says it, "Guild Wars".
