Filas, in answer to your question, I counted you as a vet. I also counted SS as a vet. I did not just look at stars to determine vet versus newbie, but names of those voting.

Hope, the manual was ready for some updating anyway.

Just a second. So, it will cost 25 mil TROOPS to take out 20 mil DEFENCE planet. Attacker will loose 25 mil TROOPS. Defender will loose about 11 mil troops. That's 1:2.7 ratio. Did I get it right?

unfortunately shield will mean quite much to ratio, so ratio will be from 1:2.4 for 9x shield to 1:3.4 for 17x shield

Not very much though, because it's 1+shield/10 now?

I was suggesting not limit production points, but limit of points which can be asigned to shield. I would sugeest 10x shield for easier calculations
And older planets will remain a bit more valuable because of better gathering.
