Does anyone have experience of astro photography using a webcam attached to a telescope?

I have a Meade ETX 125 telescope and want to venture into photography of the night sky but the CCD cameras are far too expensive for me.

I would like detailed help on using a webcam instead from anyone who has a good knowledge of this technique. Many thanks

If you had a wireless connection capability on your webcam, then it is should be possible, unless you had your system all outside. Treat it as a remote camera.

MLH is just an immature a@@ehole, probably Surtees anyway so yes I am a little pissed at him but just cant be bothered. One thing guaranteed to annoy little children is to ignore them.

As for the telescope, I was talking about adapting a webcam to fit the telescope eyepiece socket. I know it can be done, I'm just not sure of the best way to go about it.

you prob need to add something to around the lens so that it screw into the camera adapter

I'd like to use it for taking pictures through the telescope, moon, planets, nebula etc. I know this is possible and with the right software and be pretty impressive as I've been looking around some sights. I just can't afford one of the proper CCD astro cameras or a digital SLR camera (and am too impatient to use a normal SLR camera)
